Here’s the latest in Jewell’s funny life. The saga of Sun square Saturn…

All of my funny life, or the last two years, I have wanted magnetic signs for my car. I thought, “If I have magnetic signs for my car, I will be famous and that will make me rich and happy.” For many years, or the last 2, and many reasons I never got the signs and as a result have lived in relative obscurity. See how these things work? Self-fulfilling prophecy or logical consequences? You decide!

I finally got a car and went to the mat. Yes it’s true, I got a magnetic sign from an internet company. Quite delighted and breathlessly anticipating fame, I took the thing out to my car, lovingly pressed it up against the door and it promptly fell to the ground. Yes, it’s true. My little Saturn is fiberglass. I think the whole damn car is fiberglass. So much for my fame and fortune.

Back to the kitchen, I smell somthin’ burning!

Is your world falling apart? Mine is. Picking up pieces can be a creative exercise. Treat your life like the sky. When gazing at the clouds, you can see pictures manifest in them. Gaze at your life like a cloud formation with the wind blowing through it, changing from minute to minute. Capture an image and hold onto it until you can draw it on paper and start a new chapter. When the clouds change with the wind, grab a new image and go with that.

Wind is the key word that comes from the Latin “spiritus”. Spirit is changing our world just as wind changes the clouds. As spirits in bodies, we are making these changes whether we know it or not. If we are not spirit in body, then we are just meat sacks and might as well hit each other over the head and eat each other. If you feel cannibalism is wrong then you probably have some sense of your spirituality.

Panic comes from lack of empowerment. We are feeling out of control and as meat sacks, we have stooped to many lows, but as spirits in bodies we are making necessary changes. The meat part doesn’t get it, but the spirit part does. We have created a situation where the appearance of helpless is motivating panic, but if we can remember that spirit is guiding us, then we can surrender to the greater good that is on its way.

My advice: Let your meat listen to your spirit.
